Contractors’ Corner at the 2026 NETCO Conference
August 17, 2026
ECAO and CECA look forward to joining industry leaders at the NETCO – National Electrical Trade Council 2026 Conference for an important conversation on AI and its growing role in electrical contracting.
R. Graeme Aitken, Executive Director of ECAO, Terry Milot, President of the Canadian Electrical Contractors Association, and Témoc Vega, PhD, Learning & Development Coordinator at ECAO, will take part in Contractors Corner to present: The AI Education Gap in Electrical Contracting: What’s Missing, Why It Matters, and How We Fix It
AI is changing how electrical contractors’ work. The demos are impressive. The buzzwords are everywhere. But the training? It is falling short.
Based on a systematic analysis of AI education for electrical contractors, this session identifies the critical gaps—hype without roadmap, lectures without interactivity, risks named but not mitigated—and introduces a hands on, role based training series designed to close them.
Knowing what AI can do is not enough. You need to know where it works, where it fails, and how to stay in control.
