In January 2022, team members from leading electrical distributor Gexpro and electrical contracting firm Felipe Electric Services were brought in to determine the optimal lighting solution for the new two-story building’s dedicated 10,000-square-foot floral storage space, which was cooled to 40 degrees.
Section 34 – Signs and Outline Lighting, as outlined in Rule 34-000 Scope, is a supplementary or amendatory section of the code and applies to incandescent lamps, fluorescent lamps, high-voltage luminous discharge (cold-cathode or neon) tubes, high-intensity discharge lamps and other light-emitting sources such as LEDs.
IDEAWORKS engages undergraduate students and hires co-op students in Mohawk’s Energy and Electrical programs, which in addition to providing practical research and development experience, provides students with career opportunities with the companies the college is collaborating with.
The Canadian Apprenticeship Service (CAS) is a new Federal initiative where Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) with 499 or less employees may be eligible to receive funding for hiring new, first-year apprentices in eligible Red Seal trades in the construction and industrial/manufacturing sectors.
The Rivierè-des-Mille-Îles Park encompasses an array of natural forest, waterways, marshland and shoreline in the city of Laval, Quebec. With its exceptional biodiversity, it’s a unique natural attraction for the city, and welcomes over 150,000 visitors annually.
We’ve all done it. Spent considerable time working on a key document or spreadsheet only to forget where we saved it, and had to start again. Or gone to ask for advice from a subject matter expert in the company only to realize he /she has retired — along with the 30 years of tacit knowledge in their head that’s not all captured “in the files.”
