I am asked this question quite frequently, as I’m not what most consider to be a “typical electrician.” For me, it was a rather pragmatic decision. I had been working in a factory as a production worker, doing the same boring thing 800 times a day.

The Electrical Safety Authority would like to advise that, following robust consultation, the Minister of Public and Business Service Delivery and Procurement has approved the regulatory amendment to adopt the 2024 Ontario Electrical Safety Code (OESC), which comes into effect on May 1, 2025.
The Government of Canada has announced the Call for Proposals for the Union Training and Innovation Program (UTIP) – an initiative under the Canadian Apprenticeship Strategy – is now open from August 31 until October 12.
