The CSA Group has recently launched the CSA Public Policy Centre to support policy and government leaders looking for policy analysis on current and emerging issues.
In this second of a two-part series, we continue discussing options to consider when designing a cable assembly or wire harness, such as the best materials to use to meet the expectations of the assembly installation, the proper termination method for the type of signal that will be transmitted over the assembly, and what safety certifications the assembly will need to comply with based on the environment. Here in Part 2: conductor twisting/cabling, shielding, outer sheaths, connectors/strain reliefs, and safety certification.
The adoption of smart home products and services continues to increase and has become a common upgrade, if not a standard package for many home builders. Homeowners are realizing the benefits of security; energy efficiency and convenience smart home solutions provide. Today, as many as two-thirds of smart home purchases are made with security in mind.
As part of an Ontario Centres of Excellence (OCE) project, iLLUMA-Drive partnered with Mohawk College to compare a traditional AC LED lighting system to the CENSE DC system.
