New Electrical Code In Force for City of Winnipeg as of July 1

The requirements of the 2021 Canadian Electrical Code, including local amendments, will be enforced by the City of Winnipeg starting July 1, 2022 via Winnipeg Electrical By-law No. 72/2022.

All building and electrical permits with no related building permit, with an application in-date of July 1, 2022 or after, will be subject to the requirements of the 2022 Electrical By-law.
