AEMC® Instruments Introduces the NEW DTR® Model 8511 Digital Transformer Ratiometer

The NEW DTR® Model 8511 builds on the proven reliability of the DTR® 8510 with modern upgrades technicians will appreciate. It maintains the fully automatic VT/PT and CT testing functions for accurate ratio and excitation current measurements—now in a lighter, more ergonomic design with enhanced safety features.

A brighter, larger display improves visibility in any environment, and the oversized test button makes operation easy, even with gloves on. The DTR® 8511 delivers fast, accurate, hassle-free transformer ratio testing—no calibration, range selection, hand cranking, or balancing required.

Built-in checks detect lead reversals and opens for added confidence. Results display instantly, and you can save nameplate voltages to compare data in real time. Test results are easily downloaded and analyzed with the included DataView® software

Features
  • Accurately measures transformer ratios up to 8000:1 in VT/PT mode and 1000:1 in CT mode
  • Built-in Continuity Testing: Quickly detects open transformer windings
  • Higher excitation current capability up to 2 A
  • Optimized 64 Hz test frequency for more accurate field simulations
  • Displays turns ratio, excitation current, winding polarity and % deviation from the nameplate values
  • Fully automatic – no calibration, range selection, hand cranking or tedious balancing required
  • Save up to 9,801 tests for easy recall and reporting
  • Includes DataView® analysis software for programming, downloading, storing and report generation of test data
