Carlo Gavazzi NRG 3-Phase Platform:  High-Performance Smart Digital Solid State Relays

February 3, 2026

Carlo Gavazzi is excited to introduce the new NRG 3-Phase Smart Solid State Relays, which are designed to meet the growing demand for high-performance switching solutions. The NRG 3-phase series offers advanced digital communication capabilities, precise power control for both 2-pole and 3-pole switching applications, and a wide array of diagnostic features.

This new addition of the NRG 3-Phase Series complements the existing 1-phase NRG solid state relay solution, significantly expanding the flexibility and scalability of the NRG family across a broader range of industrial automation environments. Engineered for seamless integration into Industry 4.0 architectures, the new NRG relays enable predictive maintenance, improved process reliability, and enhanced Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).

Main Technical Features:

  • Seamless digital communication equipped with PROFINET, EtherNET/IP, EtherCAT and Modbus protocols for real-time data transmission and smooth system integration.
  • Advanced switching technology offers a variety of switching modes and enhanced control features tailored to diverse industrial application needs.
  • Improved energy efficiency minimizes power losses and optimizes thermal management, with a comprehensive data stream on voltage, current and energy consumption from each solid state relay.
  • Integrated diagnostics and predictive maintenance continuously monitor system parameters and faults to help prevent system failures and reduce unplanned downtime.
  • Cost-effective and simplified inventory combines switching, monitoring and diagnostics into a single compact solution, reducing the need for additional components and complex wiring.

The NRG 3-Phase Series is ideal for applications in plastics and rubber processing, packaging machines, semiconductor manufacturing, and other automated production systems, the NRG 3-Phase Series delivers reliable, energy-efficient and intelligent power control.
