Part of Mitsubishi Electric’s Ecodan family, which has been installed throughout Europe since 2011, the Ecodan WUZ benefits from years of field-proven performance in hydronic applications. Built with a refrigerant split configuration, the Ecodan WUZ eliminates freeze risk in outdoor piping by keeping the water circuit indoors. This design removes the need for glycol or heat tracing while streamlining installation and reducing maintenance requirements.
The Ecodan WUZ features Mitsubishi Electric’s Hyper-Heating INVERTER® (H2i®) technology, enabling reliable operation in outdoor temperatures as low as -30°C while maintaining strong heating capacity in extreme cold. With a coefficient of performance (COP) of up to 5.05, the system delivers exceptional energy efficiency, helping reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions without compromising comfort across a wide range of residential and commercial applications.
At the heart of the system is a fully integrated hydrobox, combining key hydronic accessories, including a circulation pump, expansion vessel, magnetic filter, booster heater, and plate heat exchanger, into a compact, service-friendly unit. The system distributes heated or chilled water throughout the building, making it well suited for both new construction and hydronic retrofit applications.
The Ecodan WUZ offers a wide range of performance capabilities, including:
- Year-round hot water production with heating supply water temperatures up to 70°C (LWT), ensuring strong performance and compatibility with existing heat emitters
- Space heating and cooling capability for all-season comfort
- An advanced Eco Mode that automatically adjusts water temperature based on outdoor conditions to optimize efficiency without user intervention
