NRCan Announces Finalist for Breakthrough Energy Solutions Canada Forum

Natural Resources Canada has announced their finalist for their Breakthrough Energy Solutions initiative.

The Breakthrough Energy Solutions Canada Forum will set the stage for 22 finalists from across Canada to pitch in front of an expert jury to illustrate how their clean energy technology or solution has the potential to significantly reduce GHG emissions.

Launched under a new stream of NRCan’s Energy Innovation Program, in partnership with Breakthrough Energy, BESC builds on the shared objectives of advancing a sustainable and resilient clean energy future. 

With the program launched in May 2019, Canada is helping to build the low-carbon economy. The government is investing in the development of new and innovative technologies that will help us fight climate change, boost the economy and create good jobs for Canadians.

The 22 finalist are now moving forward to the Pitch Event taking place January 14, 2020

The Forum will bring together:

  • Gates Ventures
  • Breakthrough Energy Ventures
  • Business Development Bank of Canada
  • Export Development Canada
  • other key stakeholders in the energy investment and innovation ecosystem

The forum with also include a keynote speach from Eric Tonne.

Finalists include: Ekona Power Inc., Gbatteries, Hydrostor Inc., Opus One Solutions Energy Corporation, Peak Power Inc., and Edge Hog Tech. Go HERE for the full list.
