8 Hour Electrical Code Refresher Necessary for FRS Certificate Renewal

About this Course
In 2022, BC adopted the 2021 version of the Canadian Electrical Code (Part1, Twenty-fifth Edition, Safety Standard for Electrical Installations, CSA Standard C22.1-18). The new version includes several changes to support electrical workers in the safe installation and maintenance of electrical equipment and systems.
This course provides an in-depth overview of the 2021 Canadian Electrical Code and the changes to BC’s Acts and Regulations. The course includes interpretations and applications of the code, as well as new definitions and tables.
The Electrical Safety Regulation (section 10.1) now requires Class A, B or C Field Safety Representatives (FSRs) to complete 8 hours of continuing education before they can renew their certificate of qualification. FSRs should renew their certification on or before the expiry date listed on their wallet cards. This course will provide Class A, B or C FSRs the 8 hours of continuing education required for certificate renewal.

What you will learn
- This course covers the updates to Safety Standards Act, Safety Standards General Regulation, Electrical Safety Regulation and Directives. This course also includes a review of all revisions to the BC Electrical Code based on Canadian Electrical Code, Part I, Twenty-fourth Edition, Safety Standard for Electrical Installations, Canadian Standards Association Standard C22.1-18. This course is required for electricians renewing their FSRs certificates of qualification.
