At the end of October, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council will host two major events in the lighting industry: the Hong Kong International Lighting Fair (Autumn Edition) and the Hong Kong International Outdoor and Tech Light Expo. Under the theme “Light and Life,” these fairs will present a wide array of innovative lighting products and solutions from some 3,000 exhibitors worldwide. The 26th Hong Kong International Lighting Fair will run from October 27 to 30 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The “Connected Lighting” zone, making its debut last year at the Autumn Lighting Fair will be upgraded to “Hall of Connected Lighting”, featuring elite lighting designs, innovations, and solutions, and the ever-popular “Hall of Aurora,” which showcases exceptional lighting designs. Attendees can explore various sectors, including commercial, residential, and LED lighting, all designed to meet the evolving needs of diverse industries.

To showcase lighting trends and aesthetics, this year, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council have invited internationally acclaimed lighting master Tino Kwan and his team to collaborate with an award-winning interior designer, CM Jao from OFT Interiors. By utilizing smart lighting systems and selective fixtures, they demonstrate the interaction between light and life by combining light, shadow, and geometric structures.

The second event, the Hong Kong International Outdoor and Tech Light Expo, taking place from October 29 to November 1 at AsiaWorld-Expo, will serve as a one-stop platform for commercial and industrial lighting solutions aimed at shaping smart cities. Highlights include the new “Smart Pole and Solution” zone and the “Horticultural Lighting” zone, showcasing cutting-edge technologies.

Furthermore, “Scan2Match” will also be available at the fairs, serving as a feature designed to bridge offline and online interactions. This year, using the HKTDC Marketplace App, buyers can scan specific QR codes from exhibitors to bookmark their favourites, access product information, view electronic floor plans, and communicate with exhibitors even after the fair, enabling a smooth continuation of their sourcing journey.

Last year, the Kerrwil Editorial team had the pleasure of attending the renowned fair and look forward to returning once again.
