Houle Selected as Electrical and Technology Contractor for New BC Cancer Centre

Houle proudly announced they have been selected as the electrical and technology contractor for the new BC Cancer centre at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital.

Part of BC’s 10-year cancer action plan, this four-storey facility will expand cancer care for patients in Nanaimo and its surrounding communities.

When complete in 2028, the centre will feature:

  • 16 treatment bays and 2 systemic therapy rooms
  • CT and PET/CT scanners
  • Oncology ambulatory care unit with 12 exam rooms and 4 consult rooms
  • 4 linear accelerator vaults
  • New oncology pharmacy
  • Additional parking, including a parkade and surface lot

Houle is delivering the electrical and technology scope, including electrical construction, fire alarm systems, structured cabling, nurse call, security and duress, access control, CCTV, and distributed antenna systems.
