New Markham, ON Homes for Energy Efficient Lighting and Ultrasave Lighting Companies

Opening

Energy Efficient Lighting Company Limited, and Ultrasave Lighting Limited are celebrating the grand opening of their new two-unit 33,000 square foot facility in Markham, ON. “The joint move to a larger space has allowed the two companies to operate totally independently, which is something that we needed to achieve in order to improve our operations since Energy Efficient Lighting opened its doors in 2013,” says Francis Chan, General Manager.

Ultrasave Lighting has been engaged in ballast manufacturing for more than 20 years, designing, developing, manufacturing, and supplying a full range of ballasts for a wide range of applications. Ultrasave products and ballasts are designed by a team of specialized engineers paying close attention to industry standards, and are tested in-house at the UL certified lab in Markham, Ontario, Canada.

Energy Efficient Lighting (EEI) has its main focus set on LED lighting fixtures, and offers an extensive range of environmentally sound, products to distributors across Canada and the U.S.

EEl products provide clients with the ability to save up to 60% in some cases on energy costs. The company has shown a steady growth in the lighting industry, because of greater demand for energy efficiency in the building industry and the availability of generous government rebate programs.

The new facility boasts a complete conversion off their lighting system to LED units. Many of the original lighting fixtures around the offices and shared warehouse were reused and converted to LED using retrofit kits. These kits, sold by EEL, allow each existing fixture to be reused and converted to LED in about 10 minutes per unit. The new warehouse LED units also incorporate EEL motion sensors, which turn the lights off when there is no activity in a particular aisle. “This simple innovation, ” says Chan, “just on its own will save so much on Hydro bills, and the most exciting thing about converting to LED is that it pays for itself, usually within the first year.”
