 September 21, 2018

Is it possible for the Ideal Nationals competition to be even more exciting? That question will be answered on September 27, the date that Ideal has declared as “National Nationals Day” in Canada.

As the 2018 Ideal National Championship Qualifying Round heads into the home stretch, Ideal has planned a special day to celebrate the people and businesses who have helped make the competition such a great success. National Nationals Day will be a series of events, promising thrilling competition, spectacular prizes, and fun for all!

Ideal has scheduled 15 events with electrical distributors across Canada on National Nationals Day – from Amherst, Nova Scotia to Nanaimo, British Columbia. At each, the Nationals competition will be the main draw, and Ideal has upped the ante by offering additional prizes for the fastest competitors to complete the challenge, as well as contests and lucky draws.

National Nationals Day Prizes include the following:

  • The fastest professional electrician and the fastest apprentice at each event will win a National Championship hoodie
  • An Ideal Tuff Tote Extreme leather tool carrier will be awarded to the overall fastest professionals of the day in each region (Canada East and West)
  • An Ideal Dual-Compartment Electrician’s Backpack will be awarded to the overall fastest apprentices of the day in each region (Canada East and West)
  • All competitors on National Nationals Day will be entered in a draw to win one of four prize-packs consisting of a limited edition Ideal tool set and a National Championship pullover sweater
  • A $100 gift card will be awarded to the distributor staff member with the fastest time in Canada
  • Everyone who shares photos from events using the hashtag #NationalNationalsDay on September 27 will be entered to win a National Championship pullover sweater

Throughout the day, Ideal will be streaming video from each National Nationals Day event on Facebook Live. This will allow everyone the chance to get in the action, and meet some of Canada’s incredible competitors. National Nationals Day events are open to everyone, and Ideal would like to extend an invitation to all Canadians to drop in and join the celebration!
