February 28: Best Practices for Inclusive Workplaces

Best Practices

Jan 28, 2019

Participants in this one-day roundtable in Vancouver, BC, hosted by the Canadian Apprenticeship Forum, will gain insights on creating welcoming workplaces and how to encourage those not traditionally represented to pursue and achieve success.

Creating welcoming workplaces is the number one challenge impairing the attraction and retention of under-represented groups in the skilled trades today. Identifying positive employer practices fostering diverse and inclusive workplaces will encourage more employers to adapt best practices.

During the event, you will

    • hear results from the 2018 Supporting Women in Trades Conference

    • find out what skilled trades workers and their allies value about employers who champion diversity and inclusion; help inform the work that remains

    • network, share ideas and best practices through roundtable discussion
