Firman Portable Generator Recalled Due to Potential Gas Leak

This recall involves the FIRMAN black and yellow generator with model number P03615.  The model number is shown on the white nameplate on the top right side of the generator as you face the “FIRMAN” label on the front. 

Hazard identified

A small hole in the vapor vent line of the generator could potentially leak, vent or drip gas from the carbon canister, posing a toxic or flammability hazard.

As of April 24, 2019, the company has received no reports of leaks in Canada, and no reports of injuries.

Number sold

Approximately 93 units of the affected product were sold in Canada.

Time period sold

The affected products were sold from December 2018 to March 2019.

What you should do

Consumers should immediately stop using the product and return it to a Costco Wholesale Canada Ltd. location for a full refund or take the recalled generator to a FIRMAN service center for a free inspection and repair. Consumers can return online Costco Canada purchases to a Costco Wholesale Canada Ltd. location or by completing an online return form .
