PB 27 Legrand CablingInnovatorsAward 400

Oct 23, 2019

Legrand North and Central America announced that its data infrastructure solutions were recognized among the best in the industry by the 2019 Cabling Installation & Maintenance Innovators Awards. The stellar third-party judging panel included cabling and communications system specifiers, designers, integrators and managers with vast professional experience.

Legrand was recognized as a Gold and Silver honoree spanning five separate solutions.

“On behalf of the Cabling Installation & Maintenance Innovators Awards, I would like to congratulate Legrand on their Gold and Silver–level honoree status,” said Cabling Installation & Maintenance’s Chief Editor Patrick McLaughlin. “This competitive, unbiased program celebrates the most original and innovative products in the Industry.”

Intellicore – Softawre-Defined Connectivity – Gold

Intellicore utilizes software defined networking (SDN) to offer you an alternative topology in your data center that gives you full software control and software cross connection capability for each fiber “lane” in your fiber network. Intellicore merges SDN with Legrand’s fiber connectivity and physical infrastructure solutions to enable complete software integrated physical networking capability.

LP-Series Power Distribution Units – Gold

Legrand’s new line of LP-Series Power Distribution products offers customers a blended solution of functionality and cost savings. The single-phase line of PDUs comprises of models that can be mounted vertically or horizontally, fitting into most applications found in commercial LAN environments or smaller data centers. Legrand implemented several features into this new line of basic, network-metered or network-switched PDUs that are designed to improve the installation experience and management of a rack’s power distribution.

Clarity Shielded High Density Jack – Silver

The Clarity Shielded High Density Jack (HDJS) utilizes Legrand’s innovative rear-loading HDJ footprint, allowing for compatible installation into existing HDJ mounting solutions and new shielded modular patch panels. In addition, due to the shared HDJ footprint, fiber and A/V modules can be installed alongside copper modules in any HDJ mounting solution, allowing for mixed media within the same rack unit or device-end mounting solution.

Infinium Fiber Splice Cassette – Silver

Legrand’s Splice Cassettes enable fast field termination and provides cable management within the housing. They are designed for use with either Single-Mode (OS2) or Multimode (OM3/OM4) fiber, features 12 or 24 fibers in LC Duplex, LC Quad, or SC Duplex connector styles. Both the 12 and 24 fiber cassettes support fusion splicing of individual or ribbon fibers. Heat shrinks, pigtail slack and cable slack are all managed within the cassette and eliminates the need for individual splice trays or special housings. Splicing can also be done away from the rack housing if needed.

EZ Patch Flat Pack – Silver

With EZ Patch Flat Pack, all the patch cords are laid out flat in a single plastic bag in quantities of 12 or 24 patch cords. Due to the flat package and arrangement of cords there is no cable memory to deal with when removed from the packaging, and a contractor can quickly populate a patch panel without opening multiple bags or removing tie wraps. The result is less overall waste and reduced installation time, simplifying the experience. EZ Patch Flat Pack also comes in standard and reduced (28 AWG) diameters from CAT 5e to CAT 6A.
