As the hospital experience transforms from primarily “sterile” patient environments to more comfortable, curative spaces focused on well-being and support, ongoing research continues into the connection between light and health. This research is impacting the way designers technologies to enhance the hospital experience.

Lighting, daylighting, and control can play critical roles in healthcare spaces, and in this panel, we will explore emerging ideas from industry thought leaders including best practices for hospital lighting design, where lighting design is headed, and different approaches to integrated lighting technology.

Panelists will engage in a robust presentation using predefined questions as prompts, and featuring back-and-forth discussion between panelists. The last 10 minutes of the presentation will be open to audience questions.

Panelists:

  • Karen Murphy
  • C. Brooke Silber
  • Andrea Wilkerson
