Wind Energy is Key to Ontario’s Long Term Energy Plan

 

Glenn Thibeault, Ontario’s Minister of Energy, has released the updated Long-Term Energy Plan (LTEP), Delivering Fairness and Choice. As part of this plan, the LTEP remains committed to achieving Ontario’s climate goals and forecasts heightened need for electricity supply in the coming years to support the transition to a low-carbon economy.

Alberta Partners with Beaver Lake Cree Nation to Install Solar Panels

 

With support from Alberta’s Indigenous Solar Program, solar panels will be installed on Beaver Lake Cree Nation’s Busy Beaver Community Store, Wah-Pow Treatment Centre and health centre. The solar panels will help reduce utility costs, allowing the Beaver Lake Cree Nation to reinvest those funds in community projects. It will also prevent about 1,250 tonnes of greenhouse gases from entering the atmosphere.
