The Renewable Energy Program (REP) has positioned Alberta to be Canada’s largest market for new wind energy investment for the next decade. The REP ensures this by providing contracts for 5,000 MW of new renewable energy capacity, in order to reach the Alberta government’s goal of 30 per cent of electricity coming from renewable sources by 2030.

Brampton City Council has given the city’s transit authority the green light to purchase up to 10 battery-electric buses and four high-powered overhead electric charging stations as part of a multimillion dollar trial run aimed at lowering carbon emissions and fuel costs.
The Société de transport de Montréal has announced that it plans to accelerate its electrification plans with the purchase of 40 additional electric buses. The STM has three electric buses being tested as part of the Cité Mobilité project. The transit agency plans to buy several different types of electric buses.
