The Association for Smarter Homes & Buildings (ASHB) Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Julie Petrone of ABB Buildings Solutions to the ASHB Board of Directors.

As Director of Marketing for ABB’s Smart Building Solutions portfolio, Julie Petrone has a deep understanding of how digital automation and controls solutions can support building owners, facility managers, and installers as they meet their goals of sustainability and occupant comfort.

“ABB and ASHB share a commitment to bringing a safer, better connected, and more energy efficient future to our indoor environments,” said Petrone. “As we navigate the future of our industry together, I look forward to sharing my perspective on how technology and automation can support the ASHB mission.”

ABB’s advanced technologies deliver safety, efficiency, and reliability by protecting and controlling electricity distribution in built infrastructure like homes, schools, offices, malls, theaters, and stadiums.

“Julie Petrone is an invaluable new partner in ASHB’s efforts to advance the smart technology industry,” said Greg Walker, CEO of ASHB. “We’re grateful for Julie’s contribution to the board and very much looking forward to working with her in creating safer, healthier, more sustainable buildings.”
