General electrical supplies drive electrical product sales in Canada with 27% of the market mix, followed closely by lighting with 19%.
The way we generate power has been undergoing a radical shift over the last few years as our attention has turned more and more toward decarbonization, primarily using solar and wind power on a large scale.
Canada’s wind energy industry further expanded its installed capacity in 2018, while solidifying its status as the lowest-cost source of new electricity generation. Newly commissioned projects brought total national wind energy capacity to close to 13,000 megawatts (MW).

Offshore wind energy is a growing business, providing enormous potential to meet the world’s energy needs.
