Wieland Electric Expands Revos Mini Industrial Connector Series with Multi-Pole Contact Inserts

November 14, 2016

Wieland Electric Inc.’s expanded range of revos MINI rectangular industrial connectors now includes a series of male and female contact inserts specifically designed to fit the revos MINI plastic and metal connector housings. The connector inserts are available with 5 or 12 poles, plus ground (PE) connection.

“Ideally suited for motor connections, the revos MINI inserts provide design engineers with a rugged power connector that has significantly higher contact density than conventional rectangular connectors,” says Martin Lalonde, application engineer at Wieland Electric. “The 12-pole version also includes internal jumpers for star-delta connections, and mechanical coding pieces to prevent incorrect connections in the field.”

The 5- and 12-pole connectors use Wieland proven crimp contacts, making them ideal for high volume automated production. Contacts are available in tin, silver and gold-plated versions. The inserts use UL94-V0 material suitable for -40°C to +120°C. Wieland’s revos MINI connector inserts are CSA and UL rated for 600V with the 5-pole rated for 20-12AWG, 16A and the 12-pole rated for 26-14 AWG, 10A.
