Siemens Meter Centre

Designed in Canada, Siemens’ new 600V Meter Centre offers an ideal solution for restricted space projects. Each meter stack houses features designed with the contractor in mind, to maximize productivity and minimize labour costs for shopping centres, condominiums and industrial complexes.

The 600V Meter Centre incorporates feedback from Canadian contractors experienced with 600V meter centres. To generate feedback, Siemens hosted a workshop at its Drummondville, PQ plant, where participants reviewed preliminary design/prototype and specific regional customer needs.

Features and benefits

Compact design: Compact 4 meter socket configuration allowing up to 200A sub-service capacity.        

Flexibility:All 600V meter stacks are of uniform design with flexibility in mind. Meter sockets rated for 200A max allowing sub-service capacity from 70 to 200A in one column.         

Ease of installation: Large and accessible wireway separated from meter area to facilitate cabling at 600V and easy access to horizontal bars connections and bottom plate to simply the installation process.     

Cold metering: Siemens meter centres are designed for cold metering. In cold metering, the sub service breakers are connected on the line side of the meter sockets, protecting the meter and all electrical equipment fed.
