CSA Online CEC 2015 Code Update Course Features Alberta Amendments
August 17, 2016
A 7-hour CSA online course on the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) 2015 update, including Alberta amendments, is now available.
The course enables participants to gain knowledge of key changes to the 2015 Canadian Electrical Code (CE Code) including Alberta amendments, review and understand best practices, including new technologies, product installations and calculation methods, and develop an in-depth understanding of updates instead of reviewing the entire CE Code.
The 2015 Canadian Electrical Code contains more than 200 updates and revisions, including major changes to sections on renewable energy, hazardous locations and electric heating. Adhering to the CE Code helps to ensure that your electrical installations are done right the first time, saving you time and expense associated with costly re-works.
Geared towards busy contractors and electricians in Alberta who need a working knowledge of the main changes to the CE Code — specifically key elements within the province — the online format provides convenient access to Alberta amendments and other critical information. Participants gain the benefits of understanding updates relevant to electrical installations in Alberta without having to review the entire CE Code.
The program takes approximately seven hours to complete, and the flexible independent study format allows users to learn at their own pace over a 90-day period. Completion of this course will meet the 2015 CEC code update requirement for both Electrical Group A safety codes officers and master electricians.
