EiKO, a manufacturer and distributor of premium lighting products, is expanding its Canadian operations with a new distribution facility opening soon in Calgary, Alberta.EiKO new facility.jpg

The expansion results from year over year success that EiKO has experienced within the Global market and in particular, Canada. Building upon that success, they have made the decision to expand to better serve their distribution partners in Western Canada.

The new facility with 13,000 square feet of warehouse space will be fully operated by EiKO staff. In fact, to ensure that the new facility and operation was successful some of EiKO’s experienced staff have relocated from Ontario.

Eiko-David.jpgDavid Harrison (left), who had been Warehouse Supervisor for 7 years at EiKO’s Canadian head office in Barrie, Ontario, has relocated to Calgary with his wife Donna to undertake his new role as Facilities Manager. David’s expertise in EiKO’s operations and understanding of product demand and distribution will allow our new facility to seamlessly enter in to our distribution stream and ensure the facility operates according to EiKO’s high standards, said Stephen Lee, General Manager of EiKO’s Canadian division.

Heidi Rudyk (right), an EiKO Account Representative for Southern Ontario for the last 2 years has relocated to Vancouver to bring her expertise and support to EiKO’s distribution partners in British Columbia. We have experienced great success in Heidi’s Ontario region and we are confident the same will be seen in BC as well, said Greg Cober, National Sales Manager.

The relocation by David and Heidi is a testament to the devotion and efforts of EiKO staff to ensure the company’s continued success and the development of the new facility and distribution channels in Western Canada.

The opening of the new facility will bring an abundance of advantages to EiKO’s partners. Allowing next day delivery, a decrease in prepaid levels, and an increase in inventory. EiKO recognizes the importance of inventory and works to ensure it stays ahead of trends and new products.

The facility is adding an additional 20,000 square feet of warehouse space and is expected to be completed by November 2018. As mentioned, EiKO has seen rapid expansion in recent years, in large part due to a constantly growing sales force, support from strong manufacturer representatives within the industry, and quality products. The expansion of the Barrie facility will allow EiKO to better serve its devoted customer base in Central and Eastern Canada and the increase in demand for EiKO products in these areas.
