Kohler Co. Recalls Automatic Transfer Switch

The switch’s cable and screw terminal joint may relax creating a potential risk of heating and possible failure of the connection. The product, a service entrance automatic transfer switch that is grey with an aluminum enclosure, measures 735 mm by 416 mm by 175 mm in size and weighs 14 kg.

As of March 22, 2018, the company has received two reports in Canada of the transfer switch failing and overheating. No injuries have been reported. Approximately 1,170 units of the products have been sold in Canada from October 2014 to January 2018.

This recall involves Kohler automatic transfer switches with the following model numbers:

• RXT-JFNC-200CSE-QS1
• RXT-JFNC-200CSE-QS2
• RXT-JFNC-200CSE-QS3
• RXT-JFNC-150CSE-QS
• RXT-JFNC-150CSE-QS1
• RXT-JFNC-100CSE-QS
• RXT-JFNC-100CSE-QS1
• RXT-JFNC-100CSE-QS2
• RXT-JFNC-100CSE-QS3
