Newfoundland Extends Deadline for Electrical Industry Scholarships for Women

July 31 is the new deadline for scholarships from the Women in Resource Development Corporation (WRDC). This year, six $1500 scholarships are available to female students enrolling in trades programs, including powerline technician and construction/industrial electrician. The scholarships are for programs beginning in September 2018.

Created in 1997 by Newfoundland and Labrador, Women in Resource Development Corporation (WRDC) is a non-profit organization committed to increasing women’s participation in trades and technology.

Recipients are selected on the basis of acceptance into a program of study at a recognized post-secondary institution of choice. The previous deadline for submission of applications was July 10.
