Call for Nominations: BC Lieutenant Governor Safety Awards

The Lieutenant Governor Safety Awards are back, recognizing individuals and organizations who demonstrate exceptional leadership, achievement, or innovation in technical safety in BC. Submission deadline: September 14, 2018.

The awards honour individuals and organizations committed to the safe installation, operation and maintenance of technical equipment, from electrical, boiler and gas systems, to elevators, railways, passenger ropeways and amusement devices.

The 2018 award categories are as follows:

Exceptional Contribution to Technical Safety (Asset Owner) — an organization that owns or manages regulated equipment, or an individual whose primary role is the operation or maintenance of regulated equipment that is owned by their employer.

Exceptional Contribution to Technical Safety (Contractor) — an organization or individual that is contracted by an asset owner to install, operate, or maintain regulated equipment.
Excellence in Safety & Technical Training — an individual or organization that has advanced technical safety through innovative and comprehensive training and education.

Data & Digital Technology in Technical Safety — an individual or organization that has embraced the use of digital technologies to further advance the safety of regulated equipment.
