Call for Abstracts: CanWEA Operations and Maintenance Summit

The 2019 CanWEA Operations and Maintenance Summit extends an open invitation for the submission of 250-word abstracts for presentations at the upcoming summit, taking place January 29-30, 2019 in Toronto. Deadline for abstract submissions: Wednesday, October 31, 2018.
The 2019 O&M Summit will engage with the rapidly developing operations and maintenance sector of the Canadian wind industry. The event will follow two main themes of Connecting and Safety, with an emphasis on the tangible connections among people, organizations, tasks and equipment, such as the ties between digitalization and repowering decisions or technical innovation and customer contracts. Space will also be made for health and safety insights that can be embedded throughout the event.
CanWEA is looking for presentations that focus on solutions to current and future challenges — overcoming barriers and capturing new opportunities. The organizers are also keen to hear from speakers with innovative ideas on health and safety practices that help break down the walls of existing health and safety silos. Abstracts can represent both technical or case study submissions, including lessons learned and best practices. Case studies can showcase new/innovative approaches to wind farm O&M activities, wind turbine upgrades, asset optimization and/or use, or research into emerging new technologies.
