B. A. Robinson Co. Ltd. Rebranding to Robinson Supply

Robinson Supply

Apr 8, 2019

B. A. Robinson Co. Ltd. is pleased to announce the rebranding of its wholesale and showroom businesses. The company’s wholesale locations will soon be branded ROBINSON SUPPLY. The lighting and bath showrooms will be branded ROBINSON.

This change is part of the company’s ongoing commitment to simplify, standardize and modernize operations and customer service. A bold new wordmark and robin emblem pay tribute to the former robin logo – a well-loved mark developed in 1936 by founder Burt A. Robinson.

ROBINSON was operating under a number of different banners and decided to develop a single focus point through a unified name and brand. The new logo and name will roll out this year on store signage, trucks, company merchandise and company websites.

Loyalty to partners has always been a driving force in the growth of ROBINSON. While the sign on the front door may change, the ROBINSON values never will.

“We put a lot of care and thought into updating the name and logo,” says Shea Robinson, President. “To help uncover what the company brands mean to us and our partners, we went directly to customers, employees and suppliers for feedback. It’s these relationships that got us to where we are today as a company.”

“Throughout the rebrand process, it was important to all of us to take the time to reflect and honour our history while continuing to evolve as a brand and a business,” says Matt Robinson, VP Showroom Group.

An important element of ROBINSON success stems from its proud Canadian roots. The company has continually reinvested in the Canadian economy, expanding in the last two decades from eight to 32 branches and acquiring respected companies such as McDowell Electric (Manitoba) and Sescolite (Ontario).

Going forward, the wholesale and showroom brands will be referred to collectively as ROBINSON. Legally, the company continues to operate as B. A. Robinson Co. Ltd.
