Siemens Canada Limited, which is supporting Bruce Power’s Life Extension Program, is the latest supplier to establish an office in Bruce, Grey and Huron counties.

Representatives from Bruce Power, Siemens, Saugeen Ojibway Nation and the Municipality of Saugeen Shores attended today the ribbon-cutting ceremony at Siemens Canada’s new Port Elgin office.

“Siemens has a successful history as a worldwide business and the company’s decision to add an office in Saugeen Shores reflects its commitment to our region,” said Eric Chassard, Executive Vice President, Projects and Engineering for Bruce Power. “I know Siemens will not only support our ongoing maintenance and project activities, but will be an active participant and partner in the Saugeen Shores community.

“It’s very important to Bruce Power that we now have 59 partners from our supply chain investing in our local communities by opening offices and warehouses, and also providing employment opportunities to the workforce in the Tri-County region.”

As an original equipment manufacturer, Siemens Canada supports Bruce Power with world-class products, solutions, services and digital applications for turbine generators and auxiliaries. More recently, the company has engaged with Bruce Power to provide upgrades, technical services and parts delivery to support the Life Extension Program.

“We have offices across Canada to support an array of industries, and we are especially pleased to add Port Elgin to our list of locations,” said Jason Jermark, Vice President of Gas and Power Services, Siemens Canada Limited. “We value our role as a long-term strategic partner to Bruce Power and feel that the new location will strengthen our local presence while creating value for our stakeholders and the community of Saugeen Shores.”
