Williams, which has worked at more than 40 nuclear stations throughout Canada and the United States, is providing project controls services to Bruce Power. The company’s Canadian operations are based in Saugeen Shores with three offices in Port Elgin.

“A priority of Bruce Power with our Life-Extension Program – including the MCR project which is now underway with the work being done on Unit 6 – is encouraging our suppliers to invest in our local communities,” said Mike Rencheck, President and CEO, Bruce Power. “We’re thrilled that a company like Williams Industrial Services Group, with its strong position in the nuclear industry, has established a presence in Saugeen Shores.”

Since arriving in rural Ontario, Williams has recruited talent from Saugeen Shores and First Nations communities to support its work with Bruce Power, along with establishing at 281 Goderich St. and 625 Goderich Street.

“Williams is committed to Bruce Power and the surrounding community,” said Tracy Pagliara, President and CEO, Williams Industrial Services Group. “We are excited about expanding our operations into Canada and making meaningful contributions to Bruce County.”

Added Kelly Powers, President of Williams’s Power Division: “Williams is proud to become part of the Port Elgin community. We are able to leverage the strength of our brand, skills and experience that we have developed over 50 years in the nuclear industry in the U.S., and now create a growing presence in Canada as well. Establishing our business in Ontario with Bruce Power achieves a key goal in our strategic plan to grow and diversify Williams.”

Luke Charbonneau, the Mayor of Saugeen Shores, welcomed Williams as Bruce Power’s latest supplier to open an office in the community.

“Congratulations to Williams Industrial Services Group on its office opening in our community,” said Charbonneau. “We are encouraged by the positive effects the company continues to have in Saugeen Shores, from their presence in Port Elgin’s vibrant business community to their recruitment of local talent.”
