Electricity Human Resources Canada (EHRC) announced the recipients of their Awards of Excellence 2020 at a virtual event today, bringing together sector stakeholders from laptops and screens across the country.

The annual awards celebrate outstanding accomplishments by individuals and teams across the sector from employers of all sizes and training institutions. This year, EHRC received a record number of nominations, making the selection process particularly challenging.

As always, we are proud to be able to recognize the leadership and innovation of our colleagues coast to coast and share their inspiring accomplishments with others.”

A highlight of the annual awards is the naming of the Leader of the Year, a title honouring an individual who has performed exceptionally and who inspires professionals across the country. This year’s winner is Stephanie Smith, President and CEO of CANDU Owners Group.

When presenting the Leader of the Year Award, Kathy Lerette, Chair of the EHRC Board of Directors said, “Stephanie continues to cultivate strong relationships both within her company and outside of it. She is an excellent ambassador for the industry and leads with thoughtful vision and expertise.”
