Siemens has announced the launch of its eMobility Partner Ecosystem in the U.S. to increase accessibility of the company’s electric vehicle charging infrastructure and financing solutions to new and expanding markets including workplaces, retail spaces, multi-unit dwellings, residential developments and utility programs.

The partner program is comprised of EV technology and service companies that will enable customers to have access to the Siemens catalog of chargers, software and financial solutions, while maintaining the ability to choose from a variety of installers and network service providers.

“With this program, Siemens is integrating a broad and talented suite of partners that will enable and accelerate the transportation electrification market,” said John DeBoer, head of Siemens eMobility Solutions and Future Grid Business in North America. “Relying on initiatives like this ecosystem approach is an integral step in the right direction in our journey as a country and around the world to achieve a truly accessible and equitable EV future.”

The Siemens eMobility Partner Ecosystem spans multiple participants involved in electrifying transportation including Electric Vehicle Service Providers (EVSPs), like EvGateway, who install and operate chargers at workplaces, retailers, and other sites, providing managed network services for site owners and the EV drivers using their facilities.

“Our partnership with Siemens gives us the ability to provide a turn-key solution for the EVSE market. As a Network Infrastructure provider, we are able to work with clients of all sizes and adapt to every charging scenario,” said Reddy Marri, President EvGateway. “Together with Siemens, we are now able to bring the best available hardware and software to the table, not to mention our consolidated deployment pipeline that will help shape the EV infrastructure throughout the United States. Additionally, our coast to coast coverage and continued expansion into new segments nationwide will ensure our growth for a long time to come.”

The ecosystem also includes installers and project developers who focus on the design and installation of EV charging facilities ranging from large truck and bus depots down to groups of Level 2 chargers at multi-family dwellings.

“AMPLY fuels electric fleets. As a leader in providing Charging-as-a-Service solutions to commercial fleet operators, AMPLY enables the new era for electrification of buses, trucks, vans and electric cars. With investment from Siemens Financial Services combined with Siemens technology solutions, AMPLY better meets the service level needs, energy management, and focus on lowering the total cost of ownership for these customers – providing a turn-key solution from facility design, construction, financing and optimization of charging operations using AMPLY’s proprietary software” said Vic Shao, CEO of AMPLY Power.

In addition, partners include EV original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) whose customers want to buy an integrated package of charging equipment with an electric truck or other EV, a Freight Mobility Platform provider, Einride, delivering Transportation as a Service (TaaS), as well as technology platforms like ev.energy that work with utilities to automatically charge EVs at the best times for the grid.

“As a leader in the development of autonomous and electric freight mobility systems, the expansion of charging infrastructure ecosystems for transport is crucial to enable sustainable transport on a global scale. Siemens will play a key role in helping us accelerate innovation in this area,” said Robert Falck, CEO of Einride.

“Through this partnership, our smart-charging software will connect Siemens’ VersiCharge residential chargers to utility grid networks,” said Nick Woolley, CEO of ev.energy. “Using ev.energy’s highly-rated app, VersiCharge customers will be able to automatically qualify for utility rebates, save money on their energy bill by charging during off-peak hours, and earn additional money back by participating in demand response programs in states like California and Texas. By working together, we will deliver a market-leading home charging solution that accelerates the decarbonization of transport.”

This is one of many Siemens-led initiatives to support transportation electrification and help ensure an equitable EV future. Siemens is a founding member of the Zero Emission Transportation Association (ZETA), which advocates for national policies that will enable 100 percent electric vehicle sales throughout the light-, medium-, and heavy-duty sectors by 2030. The company also joined the Climate Group EV100, a global initiative committed to accelerating the transition to electric vehicles (EVs).
