CSA Group is proud to announce that Manisha Mistry, Senior Director of Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) has been selected for the Canadian Occupational Safety Top Women in Safety 2021 list. The purpose of this list is to give well deserved recognition to Canada’s female health and safety professionals for their hard work, determination and inspiration.

For close to two decades, Manisha Mistry has solidified her reputation as one of Canada’s top health and safety professionals leading CSA Group’s HSSE efforts across 14 countries. Manisha has been a leading force in building a culture at CSA Group that prioritizes safety. Among her many HSSE accomplishments, she led her team to achieve global, multi-site registration to ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 in 2019, while also spearheading efforts to develop and offer world class safety training for employees. Most recently, faced with COVID-19, Manisha led CSA Group’s HSSE team in successfully enacting pandemic related protocols allowing the organization to continue operations.

“The entire CSA Group team congratulates Manisha on this well-deserved recognition,” says Paul Keane, Executive Vice President, Human Resources, HSSE & Communications at CSA Group. “I am continually impressed by Manisha’s ability to inspire and lead positive change in this vastly changing world, always with professionalism, respect and an unrelenting focus on safety.”

“My personal philosophy is ‘you’re only as good as your team’,” says Manisha. “CSA Group’s ongoing commitment to health and safety has not only resulted in an HSSE mandate that prioritizes excellence, but one that supports ongoing learning, development and engagement.”

Manisha’s commitment to safety goes beyond just the physical health and safety of CSA Group employees. Today, she also oversees CSA Group’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion program where she focuses on bringing together stakeholders across the organization to create a safe and supportive culture for all global employees.

Manisha has been featured in the May/June 2021 issue of Canadian Occupational Safety magazine.
