Canada’s National Electrical Trade Council (NETCO) is pleased to announce that IDEAL Industries (Canada) Corp. is the latest company to sign on as a training partner of the new NETCO training partner package initiative that is rolling out in conjunction with member training centers across the country.

IDEAL, the ‘Electrician’s Champion’, has been proudly manufacturing in Canada since 1962 and has been committed to making work easier and safer for tradespeople across Canada, including the electrical industry. Their state-of-the-art production facility is in Ajax, Ontario, and proudly produces the Can-Twist™ wire connectors, as well as hand-crafted leather goods, and Yellow 77® cable pulling lubricant. IDEAL also has multiple production facilities across North America that produce a wide range of tools and supplies for professional tradespeople around the globe.

IDEAL is very invested in the skilled trades and hosts an exciting annual skills competition that welcomes competitors from across North America. The IDEAL National Championship showcases the talents of professional electricians, apprentices, and electrical students. In 2022, preliminary round events will take place across Canada, and the final competition will be held in Florida. As in previous years, it will also be televised on ESPN.

“IDEAL is very excited about this new partnership with NETCO. Our commitment to working with and growing the skilled trades segment along with providing world class products and services made this partnership extremely attractive to our organization,” said IDEAL Canadian National Sales Manager, Sean Bernard.

“By working together in a collaborative approach, we look forward to integrating seamlessly into the NETCO network,” explained Bernard.

NETCO Executive Director Melissa Young is very excited for this partnership and all it will entail.

“To partner with a company like IDEAL Industries Canada, that obviously manufacturers high quality tools right here at home is fantastic but coupling that with their commitment to the next generation of skilled trade professionals, including education and skills competitions, aligns with our mandate and we are excited to watch this partnership grow,” explained Young.
