Home Renovation Savings Rebates in Ontario: Solar, Heat Pump, Smart Thermostat
July 21, 2025
The Home Renovation Savings™ program and make meaningful improvements today that pay off long term. Level up to a smart thermostat, invest in solar energy or install a heat pump. Smart upgrades like these can make your home more energy efficient, comfortable and ready for whatever the season brings. And best of all, a home energy assessment is not required for these upgrades.
For heat pumps, work with a program-qualified contractor to have your upgrades installed and they’ll take care of the rebate paperwork. For solar panels, choose a contractor of your choice to install the system and process your application to receive a rebate. For smart thermostats, you can easily install it on your own.
Solar & Storage
Installing solar panels with battery storage is a great long-term investment for your home. Up to $10,000 in rebates are available. With these upgrades, you can generate your own energy, use it whenever you need it and store the excess for a rainy day—like during power outages or periods of high electricity demand.
Heat Pump
Heat Pumps heat, cool and dehumidify your home while saving energy* and improving comfort year round. A home energy assessment is not required.
