Top Alberta Apprentices Honoured

The Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training Board Awards has honoured two top apprentices with specialty awards, one of which earned a Top Electrician award.

Pavel Kozanov, from Calgary, received the Top Electrician award and the ACA W.G. Alexander Memorial award for being the Top Overall Construction Apprentice in 2016. Kozanov previously received top honours in 2014 as a scholarship recipient.

Alberta Construction Association Chair Paul Heyens awarded Devon Froland the ACA Top Carpenter Award for 2016 (shown in photo). From Hughenden, Alberta, Froland had previously been in the RAP program before entering his apprenticeship where he achieved a scholarship due to his hard work in that program.

ACA’s 2016 two top Apprentices received their congratulations along with Northern Lights Bear glass sculptures and a cheque for $500.
