The Alberta Electrical Alliance is proud to support the industry with over $100,000 of postsecondary scholarships for current members and their children. Participation in AEA events helps fund AEA scholarships and build the electrical industry’s future.

Due to COVID-19 and the restriction of fundraising events, 2021 scholarship amounts will be finalized in the fall. Applications are open and application deadline has been extended until September 30, 2021.

Government Proposes Increase to Number of Weeks for Recovery Benefits and EI

The Government of Canada has announced intent to introduce regulatory and legislative amendments to increase the number of weeks of benefits available for the Canada Recovery Benefit (CRB), the Canada Recovery Sickness Benefit (CRSB), the Canada Recovery Caregiving Benefit (CRCB) and Employment Insurance (EI) regular benefits.
