WESCO Appoints Nelson Squires to Lead Canadian Operations

WESCO International, Inc., has appointed Nelson Squires to serve as Group Vice President and General Manager of its Canadian operations. He joins WESCO from Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. where he served as Vice President and General Manager, North American Gases, and President of Air Products Canada Limited.

Squires began his career with Air Products as a sales engineer in 1989. He had numerous assignments of increasing responsibility, including region and general management positions, mergers and acquisitions and investor relations. Squires also served as a captain in the United States Army.

“Nelson brings a successful track record of building strong management teams in a diverse range of functions and in delivering sales and profitable growth,” says John Engel, Chairman, President, and CEO, WESCO International. “We are very excited to have him join WESCO to help us make the most of the substantial opportunities we believe are emerging in the Canadian market.”

Squires received a bachelor’s degree in biology from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, N.C.

WESCO International, Inc. provides electrical, industrial, and communications maintenance, repair and operating (“MRO”) and original equipment manufacturers (“OEM”) product, construction materials, and advanced supply chain management and logistic services.
