Battery Energy Storage

Battery energy storage systems (aka BESS) are a profitable business opportunity coming to the Alberta market. Already used in our province for utility scale projects, commercial businesses and institutions are looking at it as a way to stabilize peak demand costs, provide power for manufacturing during outages and to provide power in remote areas combined with solar and other sources to keep them charged and at the ready.

Panelists:
  • Vienna Zhou – CEO, Troes Corp.
  • Robert Tremblay – Policy Manager, Energy Storage Canada.
  • Kevin Ritzman – Vice President, Northern Sun Energy
  • Josh Campbell P.Eng, PMP – Evolve Power
