By now, you are no doubt aware that Bill 216 will change Ontario’s Construction Act in significant ways, several of which will be controversial (including the annual expiry of lien rights, the mandatory annual release of holdback and the elimination of certain rights of set-off).
In this seminar, Kennaley Construction Law will dive into the practical implications of the changes from the perspective of electrical contractors and subcontractors. There will be a focus on what attendees can do to manage the anticipated impacts practically, through contract negotiations, contract administration, site practices, and dispute resolution mechanisms.
