Electrical Contractors’ Salaries by Employer

Room-based lighting control systems have been on the market for some time now. You might think of these as the younger cousins to larger building-wide or even enterprise-wide lighting control systems.
Failure is definitely an “F” word, particularly when we’re talking about critical plant equipment. No one wants to tell the boss that the line is down because a motor has pooched, which is why as an industry we’ve moved away from reactive maintenance to a prevention mindset.
The value of building permits issued by Canadian municipalities rose 6.1% to $9.0 billion in August, largely because of increases in multi-family and industrial permits. Gains were reported in seven provinces, with over one-third of the national increase in Quebec.
Total investment in building construction edged down 0.4% to $15.2 billion in October, following a 1.5% decrease in September. Investment in the non-residential sector fell for the fourth consecutive month in October, remaining below pre-COVID-19 levels. Conversely, investment in the residential sector continued to strengthen for the sixth straight month.
