Total investment in building construction increased 1.8% to $15.1 billion in July. Residential sector investment increased 4.9% to $9.9 billion, while non-residential investment decreased 3.7% to $5.3 billion.

Marcia Ranger is a master construction and maintenance electrician, as well as a college professor at Cambrian College in Sudbury, Ontario under the Electrical Engineering Technician program. She went back to school at Cambrian College in her early thirties, where she completed the Electrical Techniques program.
Entry level salary for electricians is 23% below the average on a national basis. However, there is only a 4% difference between mid-career and experienced electricians.
