The National Bank of Canada’s Montreal headquarters possesses a Grand Hall that is an ornate masterpiece. The lighting design needed to accentuate and celebrate this historic structure’s arresting grandeur without washing out the ornate details, while also creating a functional and welcoming workplace.
The majority of electrical safety product standards referenced in Appendix A of the Canadian Electrical Code, Part I, (the Code) are developed by the Canadian Standards Association(CSA). Some referenced standards, related to fire alarm, security or other fire safety equipment, are developed by Underwriters Laboratories of Canada (ULC).
Alberta has the highest median hourly rate for electrical contractors at $30.52. Alberta’s rate is followed closely by Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Nova Scotia.
On December 2nd, 2021, CSA Group launched a new Lighting Center of Excellence in Irvine, California to serve North American Lighting Manufacturers.
Earlier this year, the Electrical Safety Authority (ESA) conducted an EV charger installation ‘blitz’ as part of their campaign to educate homeowners and consumers, in an effort to improve EV charger installation safety in Ontario.
