An Ontario Justice of the Peace has fined an electrical company $55,000 and a supervisor $5,000 for an incident in which an arc flash occurred, burning three workers. The court also imposed a 25% victim fine surcharge ($13,750 and $1,250, respectively), as required by the Provincial Offences Act.
This graph shows the average pay by experience for automation and control engineers. Interestingly, pay dips slightly in the 10-20 year experience range, though the graph ultimatley displays a positive trend. The average salary for engineers in this field has the potential to nearly double by mid-career.
