Legrand Launches Best-in-Class Architectural Dimming Panel Platform

Legrand Dimming Panel

Jan 15 2015

Legrand has introduced alighting control and automation panel (LCAP) series, an architectural dimming and integration platform designed to provide enhanced end-user experiences, comply with the latest energy codes and standards, and simplify design for future space requirements. The system was developed by Legrand brands WattStopper and Vantage Controls.

LCAP lighting control panels offer high density and fully configurable dimming for all lighting technologies. Four versions are available to meet any project from small to large spaces where sophisticated sequences of operation are required.

The product platform helps designers meet precise dimming and energy conservation objectives, and is ideal for a wide range of commercial applications including schools, office buildings, hotels, museums, and restaurants. Products in the LCAP series include lighting control panels and a range of unique interfaces. The platform can also integrate with the award-winning Digital Lighting Management (DLM) system to deliver optimal energy performance and with A/V, shades, climate, and other systems for greater user convenience.

Easy to specify, install, commission and use, the platform adapts to changing project requirements and new complexities like LEDs. Dimming LEDs require careful coordination of lamps, drivers and controls to ensure proper performance. The LCAP panels provide modular pre-configured architectural dimming and integration options. Also, exclusive patent pending technology allows the dimming curve for each dimming channel to be independently customized for starting and stopping points as well as linearity. This means smooth dimming and consistent lighting when using mixed lighting types or brands.

The LCAP series features

• LCAP lighting control panels: Offers high density and fully configurable dimming for all lighting technologies. Four versions are available to meet any project from small to large spaces where sophisticated sequences of operation are required.

• Equinox user interfaces: Empowers facility managers and end-users to create a specific mood, light the perfect scene, or emphasize specific focal points. This family of simple and intuitive interfaces allow access and control from room to multiple locations via keypads, touchscreens, or mobile apps.

• Digital Lighting Management (DLM): Delivers a full building lighting control and energy saving solution when integrated with the architectural dimming platform. DLM allows designers to easily layer multiple control strategies and integrate with other building systems for optimal energy performance.

“The LCAP series demonstrates our approach to deliver the ultimate in simplicity, scalability, and flexibility to controls and automation solutions,” said Andrew Wale, vice president of product marketing, Building Control Systems at Legrand. “By combining the expertise and technologies from WattStopper and Vantage Controls, we’ve created a best-in-class architectural dimming system that is designed to meet a wide range of commercial applications and fulfill project objectives whether for retrofit or new construction.”
