Shawcor’s Connection Systems Group announces a new line of cold shrink end caps for sealing cable ends

February 28, 2017

Shawcor is pleased to announce the introduction of a new cable accessory product line based on cold shrink technology that offers an effective solution to seal and protect cable ends from moisture ingress and contamination.

DSG-Canusa brand cold shrink end caps will provide electrical utilities and contractors with a tool free choice in the safe and reliable installation of end caps. Specially formulated EPDM rubber material is tough and provides very good abrasion resistance and mechanical protection.

End sealing caps are a simple and cost effective way of protecting your electrical cable assets particularly during transit to a job site or held in a storage yard.

CSEC cold shrink technology offers several distinct advantages

  • Easy, Single Step Installation – no special tools
  • No Heat Source Required – no hot work permit needed
  • Rubber Material Provides Constant Uniform Radial Pressure – no mastics or tapes necessary to prevent moisture ingress
  • Clean and Easy to Remove – lift the end of installed cap and slice with utility knife

With all of the above advantages, CSCE Cold Shrink End Caps are sure to provide electrical engineers, operators and installers with peace of mind knowing that they can count on a new level of performance, safety and reliability from Shawcor as a long standing, trusted supplier.
