Stem, a global leader in artificial intelligence (AI)-driven energy storage services, is now deploying an intelligent energy storage system for a Solvay plant in Welland, Ontario to reduce the plant’s energy costs.
July 31 is the new deadline for scholarships from the Women in Resource Development Corporation (WRDC). This year, six $1500 scholarships are available to female students enrolling in trades programs, including powerline technician and construction/industrial electrician. The scholarships are for programs beginning in September 2018.
Two new directors have been appointed to WorkSafeBC’s governance board. Effective immediately: William Laird Cronk, representative of the public interest, was appointed as a director for a term ending Dec. 31, 2025; and Anil Kumar Niranjan Singh, representative of law or law enforcement, was appointed as a director for a term ending Dec. 31, 2025.
